Our Story
Cedar Quarry Guild began in a small cabin near the Cascade Mountains in 2018. Three portfolio managers gathered to share handwritten notes and quiet discussions about disciplined investing. Over time those conversations grew into a structured curriculum that remains deliberately small and intentionally deep.
Mission
To teach portfolio management through thoughtful practice and clear writing, helping practitioners build enduring results.
Values
- Patience over speed
- Clarity over complexity
- Integrity in every decision
- Community built on trust
Approach
Every course is written by working professionals, reviewed in small cohorts, and refined with direct feedback. We favor paper notebooks and measured conversations.
The Team
Twenty-two years managing multi-asset portfolios for endowments. Eleanor still keeps her first risk ledger in a cedar box on her desk.
Former fixed-income strategist who now studies behavioral patterns in allocation decisions and writes the Guild’s quarterly journal.
Guides small cohorts through live case studies drawn from her experience across emerging and developed markets.
Ensures every mailed workbook, virtual session, and Guild gathering runs with the quiet precision our students expect.
